Tomb of Hamida Banu (Akbar's mother)
Hey Friends
Today I'm going to tell you about a wonderful visiting place in Delhi.
It's the tomb of Hamida Banu who was the wife of Mughal emperor Humayun and the mother of great Mughal emperor Akbar.
Address -Mathura Road, Oppo. Nizamuddin Police Station, Nizamuddin East, New Delhi,
if you are planning to visit there then the months of February and March are the most suitable.
let's know about something interesting about her.
Everyone knows she was the first wife and queen of Mughal emperor Humayun but she wasn't from a rich family.
She born in Persia (Iran). Her father was a sheik (religion post).
She belonged from Sufi family.
At that time Sufi was a cast of Islam who did some religion work.
In character, they were humble and kind people than Muslims.
I think that's the main reason behind Akbar's humbleness toward all religions during his ruling period.
Actually, if we study Akbar's character deeply then we can clearly see how much was he affected by Sufism.
Though Hamida did not spend much time with Akbar when he was young because of the coup of Delhi empire.
She was also known as Maryam Makani's title which was given by his son Akbar.
She built a tomb of Humayun in his memory later she was also buried there near her husband Humayun.
She died in 1604 AD at the age of 77.
She's buried in a beautiful tomb which is glorified by wonderful Artwork of that time.
Her Tomb also contains very large and beautiful Greenery in which you can enjoy your weekend near nature.
I'll highly recommend you to visit this place if you ever visit Delhi.
