TOMB of SAFDAR JANG

Today I'm Back with another beautiful ancient visiting place in Delhi.
It's the Tomb of Safdar Jang(ruler of Avadh)
Address -Safdarjang Road, Jor Bagh, Delhi, India
Safdarjang tomb is last enclosed garden tomb in India its architecture is very similar to Humayun's Tomb.
it's made from Red Stones like other Mughal period architectures.
it's also the last Mughal monument in India.
Stone's of his tomb were actually taken from Abdul Rahim's tomb who was a great poet in Akbar's court.
Rahim was so called the son of Akbar.
if you visit Safdar Jang tomb then you can see some fine Mughal period Artwork on walls.
But the main attractive part of this place is its Garden, in which you can see a lot of types flowers, Plants, and some animals as well.
So now let's know actually who was Safdar Jang and why was he so famous?
Safdar Jang was born in 1708 AD.
In 1739 AD he succeeded the throne of Avadh from his father in law.
Actually, in reality, we can say that he bought this throne by paying 20 million rupees to Delhi emperor Nadir Shah.
Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah gave him title Safdar Jang.
At that time Avadh was very big and important region so that's why The Emperor gave him special importance.
He awarded as Prime minister of India post in emperor's court.
Safdar Jang was an able and effective administrator.
He was center of Muhammad Shah's court.
In later years of Muhammad Shah, he gained total control of the administration.
Because of his brilliance, Muhammad Shah's successor Ahmed Shah Bahadur awarded him the post of Wazir.
But politicians overtook him and he dismissed in 1753 AD.
he returned to Avadh and died in 1754 AD at the age of 46.
After his death, his Son Shujaud Daula pleaded with the emperor to permit him to build a Tomb in memory of his father Safdar Jang.
Then he builds the tomb which was designed by Abyssinian architect in the late 1754-1755 AD.
