The mystery of TAJ MAHAL

Taj is an Arabic word which means crown and other word Mahal stand for Palace.
Taj Mahal is probably the greatest monument which was built by Mughal emperors.
Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
People outside India don't know much about Shahjahan but he was the grandson of greatest Mughal Emperor Akbar and the son of Jahangir.
Shah Jahan didn't do anything for social welfare but he build some great monument with the finest artwork, The Taj Mahal is one of them.
He also builds Moti Masjid and the great Red Fort.
We could say that his ruling period was the Golden time of Indian art.
You can see beautiful and fine artwork on the walls of the Taj Mahal which is very rare in the world and only left in some Indian monument.
But like every beautiful thing, Taj also has a dark side.
The beauty of Taj had taken many lives.
During its construction time near 2000 worker died from over workload and poverty.
Construction of Taj was completed in almost 20 years and during this period many labors were killed or died.
Shan Jahan chopped the hands of the architecture who build Taj because emperor didn't want that he built again same building as The Taj.
Today we know Taj as a monument of Love.
Taj was built in the memory of MUMTAJ Mahal who was the beloved wife Shah Jahan.
Mumtaj Mahal was the wife of a mutual officer who was working under Shah Jahan and once when Shah Jahan saw Mumtaj then he decided to marry with her but could not do it unless her husband was alive so he killed Mumtaj's husband.
After killing her husband he forced Mumtaj for marriage and lately he did so.
But After giving the birth his son mumtaj died and Shan Jahan could not bear it and became so cruel toward social.
After some time he decided to build a monument in the memory of Mumtaj so the world remembers his love for centuries.
Construction of The Taj Mahal took 20 years and 25000 workers.
Name TAJ MAHAL is taken from his beloved wife MUMTAJ MAHAL.
During the war of the throne, one of Shah Jahan son Aurangjeb locked Shah Jahan in prison which was very near to Taj Mahal and he can clearly see the beautiful view of The Taj every day.
After some time Shah Jahan died in prison and his son buried him near the grave of MUMTAJ.
This was the end of an interesting and great love story......
