Talakadu is a desert-like a town on the left Bank of Kaveri river. Talakadu is 140 km away from Bengaluru in Karnataka,  India. It is believed that this place has been home to about 30 temples once, 5 of which are lingams, representing the five faces of Lord Shiva. This place is a very popular site for Hindus. Kuldhara, little over 25 km to the west of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Kuldhara is an abandoned village in Jaisalmer India. Kuldhara was established around the 13th century by Paliwal Brahmins. Kuldhara stands desolate and an uncanny silence prevails all around Jaisalmer. This village was abandoned by its people near 200 years ago. It was during this time that Salim Singh, the Diwan of Jaisalmer known for his debauchery and unscrupulous tax collecting methods and cruelness, set his eyes on the beautiful daughter of the village chief. The Diwan was absolutely hell-bent and having the girl and he told the villagers if they came in his way he would levy huge taxes on them and punish them.
