Jatinga is a village which located in Assam, East India.
This place is famous for its natural beauty surrounded by mountains.

Over the 100 last years, thousands of birds have committed suicide over a small strip of land Jatinga.
The population of this village is 3000 and all of them witness this suicide scene every year between September to November.
After monsoon season, usually in September and October only occurring the dark moonless nights near 50 spices suddenly become disturbed between the hour of 7 - 10 pm.
Birds suicide is a totally unique phenomenon.
Last November hundreds of bird descended from the sky, committing to suicide by crashing into buildings.
According to local people, Birds don't do suicide, it's evil spirits who live in the sky are responsible for Birds death.
But according to science it's not true, scientist says that the birds are generally disoriented by the monsoon fog, So they are attracted by the village lights and fly toward them, some of the birds hit in walls and some in trees during descent.
Every bird doesn't die after the crash some of them get injured only.
The phenomenon has captured the interest of tourists, who are making Jatinga famous worldwide.
To promote tourism, local government has announced a festival around birds suicide called Jatinga Festival.
First Edition was held in 2010 and if you want to witness this phenomenon then you should go There in October every year.
This place is just 350 km away from Guwahati.
